A way of studying books that seems to work for me:

1. Draw boxes and arrows on the table of contents, trying to make sense of how the parts fit together. At the very least, come up with a small set of tags and assign a tag to each chapter and subsection.

2. Write a 1-sentence summary in each chapter and subsection.

Anyone know how Goldman's "A Practical Guide to Data Structures and Algorithms using Java" compares to Cormen's "Introduction to Algorithms" (CLRS)?

Can someone post a couple of sample pages from Goldman?
